I finally found the ultimate use for the internet. You can now find baseball cards of players that kind of looked like Keith Hernandez.

Here is Sid Bream (one time traded for Decatur Bill Madlock), who really looked a lot like Keith "Mex" Hernandez.

Note: Jose Cruz had 2251 hits in his 18 year career. Jose still owns the record for most walk-off homeruns in Astros history with 6. Not too shabby.

A little Cardinal trivia. Who did the Cardinals trade Hernandez for in 1983? Whitey did not like him because his moustache appeared to be dusted with white residue that wasn't chalk.

Was that Neil Allen, IRBW? Wasnt Keith traded almost specifically for being caught in "snowstorms"?

Keith may have like the extracurriculars, but the guy could hold his juice and keep a .330 batting average at the same time.

Stan the Man used to have Martini's before big games, per Red Schoendeinst, and is perhaps the greatest hitter in National League history, and is alive and well at age 86...as well a hiring Lois Powers at one time to work at his restaurant.

Jose Cruz once played for the Birds, as did his brother Hector aka "Heity". Jose didn't play a lick until he went to Houston.

Didn't the Hernandez deal include Rick Owenby? Another memorable player.

Check your stats, I don't think Mex hit .330 lifetime.

What about Tommy Herr and Tito Landrum?

Mex wasn't even a .300 lifetime hitter, was he? But he was, perhaps, the best defensive third baseman of all-time...or at least some argue that...right behind "The Bull" Leon Durham that is.

When you look at Mex's stats though, he deserves to be in the Hall, and it's the white horse that's kept him out, no doubt.

That should read FIRST baseman below, obviously.....

Lynn Holt is a dead ringer for Hernandez.
