Wapella Priest goes to St. Patrick's

History (legend?) has it that St. Patrick's Cathedral in New York City was founded with major support from some Irishmen who later (or may have already) moved to Wapella, where they founded St. Pat's in Wapella, another fine place.

Full circle for Wapella's Fr. Patrick Henehan, attending a mass with Pope Benedict XVI this week in New York City's St. Patrick's Cathedral. Fr. Patrick will also be attending the stadium Mass in the Bronx at Yankee Stadium (House that Ruth Built?) (House that Joshua and Judges Built?) (There is a pun there somewhere).

Pantagraph story here

Enjoy the trip Fr. Patrick, and please remember your flock at St. Patrick's in your prayers.

Father Henehan is pulling out all of the stops to get the Cubs a WS win, even if it takes a trip to see the Holy Father.

The pontiffs come to the US more frequently than the Cubs get in to the WS.
