Mixed Up Joke

I had to read this twice, sort of funny, in a 1971 way.

Two hippies were waiting at the bus stop alongside a nun whose leg was in a cast. The first hippie asked "Sister, how did you break you leg?"

"I slipped in the bathtub."

The second hippie asked the first, "What's a bathtub?"

"How should I know? I'm not Catholic!"

Note to self: Wapella.com may need a stronger editorial prescence at play in the near future.

Happy Thanksgiving.

Good showing by the Illini last night. It was nice to see Pruitt wow NBA scouts with his inside skills near the basket. You could zone this Illinois team all year long and they may never score again. And Jay Bilas smoking Illini weed saying Randle is an all-American defender. It's pretty hard to defend someone sitting on the bench with 5 fouls. Meanwhile Eric Gordon is averaging 30/game more than the illini guards combined.

Happy Thanksgiving,

I agree that jay bilas has a man crush on the illini. it was comical to hear him and ??(the other announcer who has a man crush on duke) cant think of his name, bicker back and forth all night! pretty much shut my eyes and listened in the second half.

I was slightly impressed with chester, he might turn into a baller.

anyone know the name of the other announcer from above??

Illinois looked good for brief stretches, but once again, scoring is going to be a MAJOR problem for this middle-of-the-road team.

When Calvin Brock is your go-to and leader, things are not as they should be.

Seing Gordon hit from 30 feet, and scoring 30/game is only a further annoyance.

Oh well, at least we know Frazier is tough, and had a tough upbringing in Baltimore, which apparently has a crime problem. I know this because someone mentions it every game several times.

MJ looked disgusted watching this performance wearing his blue Illinois shirt. Sheyer is not the must have recruit after all. He would be an upgrade over Meacham and that is about it.

Greetings from Maui -
The guard play was definitely weak last night and Pruitt didn't have his best performance. Could be a long season. The refs were beyond horrible (not the reason we lost the game) and the best entertainment of the evening were the chants from the crowd. Illini-nation definitely travels well - very large and enthusiastic crowd.

Happy Thanksgiving to all -

I'm glad to see this joke has been hijacked by the Illini.

A current UIUC employee told me MJ has purchased a home in Mahomet. Veracity?

Good Lord! How much hilarity are you looking for? This is high humor. One of the funniest things I read in Bob Hopes' book of party humor, "Confessions of a Hooker"

Is Chrissie..
Chris Mills
Chris Ooms
Chris Gandy
Christine Roesch?

Who went to Maui?

Bonus points if you can identify the former commissioner of the Maui Classic with Hog City connections.

The Mod can surely eliminate me from that post inquiry, as he knows I would not have answered his call this afternoon had I been in Maui...

I thought I could hear Chris Ooms in the background when I called you Millzer.

Speaking of Maui Go Marquette. Happy Thanksgiving to all in Central Illinois.

Mod,

No, not in on it, but can easily find out if indeed it is just a rumor.

I'm going with Roesch. Way to go Chrissie - did I hear you starting up a D Tucker style (orange and) BLUE MACHINE chant!

They beat 2 schools from real conferences and beat Hawaii on their home court so that's a decent trip. They may get a better but I think they are destined for a 25-35th best team in America status - they would be pretty good with Gordon. bbd

If you guessed Roesch you are correct. Did not start a BLUE MACHINE chant last night (against Duke, are you kidding me?) but did start ILL-INI during a particularly quiet timeout.

Former commissioner of Maui Classic is of course fellow Illini and my fraternity bro, Fred Way. I believe the Mod put together a centerfold spread on Fred a while back.

reynoldz21 - You still have that sweet little jumper from the wing?I believe the other two broadcasters were Bill Rafterty and Sean McDonough. I think they do a pretty good job. Give Tisdale a couple years, may have something there & you have to cheer for those small town boys.. It's only November, this Illini team will get better and be dancin' come March.

I am eagerly waiting the Rover's report of the Wapella greats at last night's annual Green Ring Thanksgiving eve.

Wildcats defeated a Tisdale-less (not Wayman)Riverton squad at Clinton holiday tourney. Dr. Ken Jackson led the way if I remember correctly. bbd

Dit - not sure how sweet my jumper ever was, but pretty sure I could knock the cob webs off it for some wapella rec center hoops.

Anybody playing hoops there on regularity, would enjoy the exercise, and re-live the ol' glory days of the thunder-dome! Country kidz VS City kids - bball??

Thanks for the "Bill Raferty", it was driving me nutz!

Nice win over Riverton, I did not know that. Doesn't suprise me, "Wapella wins" again!
