C'Mon Everybody, Let's March to Madness

Here's a full serving of Humble Pie for our early exit tournament teams...

ISU bounced from the NIT, Illini snuffed in the NCAA, Boilermakers still hanging in there as long as they can keep playing Northern Iowa...what better to do on a Friday aftenoon than roundup Steve Marriott for some Humble Pie doing the Eddie Cochran classic "C'Mon Everybody". Two points for naming one of the lead guitarists for Humble Pie who went on to a huge solo career. It does not look like him playing in this video by the way.

Bobby Knight should be put in charge of the tournament.

Expand to 128 teams.

Just add more play-in games.

8 or 16.

But then the NIT would suck.

Let's just root for the Catholic schools.

Two ACC teams who started the season 16-0 are one and done. Do you think if they played some nonconference road games they might be better prepared?

The illini should play at isu and siu next year to prepare for tounament type atmosphere.

Bubble teams who don't play road games should be sent to the NIT.

I don't think games at SIU or ISU would help the Illini. They can't win at Michigan State or Penn State. They barely won at N'western. The Illini need some better players and a better coach. There was too much whining about Frazier being out. You have to show up and play. I would can Weber now, but know he'll get another year. Recommend he gets the axe if he doesn't go deep in the tourney next year. He can take the AD with him.

They would help a lot.

They should just have tourament at the united center every year and invite the top 8 schools in Illinois.

Too easy, Next!

What coach do you want? He took a team of second stringers and finished second in the Big Ten. The recruits are coming and I cannot wait to see what he does with talent again (i.e. 2005)Then pull the plug on him if he fails.

Frampton had left by the time the Pie recorded this - I think it was on the "Smokin'" LP

BEP - I will be suprised if Weber is at IL any less than 4 years. Whether he has earned it or not is debatable but he'll be there for awhile since everyone is hypnotized by recruiting & this yr gave him breathing room. He has a very good recruiting class of high school SRs and a big time class of JRs.

His major pressure is to get Wayman Tisdale, Mike Davis, and McCamey to improve from Soph to Jr. year. They all disappeared in the tourney which is no great surprise. I think they'll take a step back next yr. actually. bbd

Basketball should be played in arenas, not football stadiums.

Hoops should be played in gyms. Of course, I've seen better tractor pulls than some of the Illini games this year. And yes, I am a fan.

I am not as patient as previous posters.

Would give him one, maybe two years.

Anybody going to the final 4?

It looks like the greatest conference of all time won't be sending a team to the final.
