Patronage Appreciated!
Nothing says Hog City like a sense of appreciation for everyday luxuries such as fresh food and dry goods. So Park Grocery in Wapella turns the dinner table a bit and appreciates its customers for their patronage in our newest advertisement from Wapella business.
Please continue to support Wapella enterprise.

"fresh food, dry goods and some soft core on the mag rack..."
AWM
Do any of you remember all the penny candy they had for sale? What a treat to go in and get some.
Yah, Guess What's for a penny. No magazine rack, however
Point of reference: where was the Park Grocery? Who ran it? How many grocery stores did Hog City have at its apex?
Historically yours,
AWM
Park Grocery was owned and operated by Mr. and Mrs. O.B. Park and was located just across the alley west from the Wapella Tap. It was destroyed in the 1968 tornado. Mr. Park was at onetime Mayor of Wapella and also was the postmaster for a number of years. The post office was located in their store.
Did Yardeen's restaurant occupy the building after the grocery store closed?
Yardeen's came in there with a store and cafe
