Who is Duck Soup and Could This Person Be ID'ed If Standing By The Circle?

You never know what will turn up on the wild world of the online auctions on ebay, but the following item description should be of interest to all Wildcats:

"FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION IS THIS UNIQUE OLD WAPELLA HIGH SCHOOL CHARM BRACELET, FEATURING COLORFUL ENAMELED LETTERS AND A FOOTBALL CHARM. VERY NICE CONDITION."

Here is the link to the item:

A few questions: Just who is this seller, ducksoup42? Just whose charm bracelet was this? Why a football charm, since Wapella never offered football (but would no doubt have dismantled all opposition if it was) Will this item go for over $1,000?

These questions and more could prove a bigger mystery than "could you ID Steve Morris if he was standing in a ditch next to a two lane 51?"

Could we have worse guesses here than were thrown about on that challenge?

Let's start the bidding at $100…………………...

I beleive this to be a self-serving Wapella.com listing by the Mod. My theory is he had a box of about 100 of these made by a trinket place in town and is trying to make a buck off his constituents here on Wapella.com. Beware - the minute this sells on EBay there will be another one listed to take its place....

The Mod is, as Billy Joel says, an innocent man! He had nothing to do with the listing! It was called to his attention, though, what you describe below is a pretty good scheme.

Watch out for Wapella.com merchandising comign soon!

JMK did show me a very similar bracelet he purchased off Ebay this past summer. If it's not Blue and White, then this bracelet and football can take a hike.

I have never heard the Mod's name and innocent used before in the same sentence, but I will take your word on this EEP. Either way, I have to round up enough scratch to buy that bracelet!

I suspect the lady dated a Maroon or a Hornet. The colors are interesting, probably of Irish descent.

The item is located in Bloomington, eh? So does this mean that the seller did in fact date a Hornet? They don't travel far from the nest, you know.

I have been waiting for Wapella.com merchandise for way too long. Come on EEP!

DT is correct, but let it be known that the one I have is indeed blue and white AND has a basketball dangling from it, and it also shows some age on it.

Well, let's see. I've started the bidding. Where does it go from here?

Can only go up,

Might it be the bracelet that Roger gave to Steve on their first date?

Kelley Fryman is definitely selling this on Ebay. She's got a stash of them.

I am stunned my name is associated with this bauble. My Chinese supplier assured me my braclets would be royal blue and white (no football!) and minimal lead content.
