Happy Birthday USA!

Getting an early birthday card in to the United States of America, before putting on some of my old LP's and listening to Redd Foxx Live and Dirty Volume 5, like I do every Independence Day.

I found this one next to my Redd Foxx collection, by the then hairy Hoosier Johny Cougar. Here's is a classic tribute to the classic rock of the 1960's with Seymour Indiana's John Mellencamp.

Seymour the crossroads of the N/S Jeffersonville, Madison and Indianapolis Railroad and the E/W Ohio and Mississippi Railroad, is also the home to a famous pro wrestler of the 1970's and 80's.

Pro Wrestling, Rock and Roll, and Fireworks all from Indiana for the 4th of July.

For 2 points, who is the Pro Wrestler from Seymour? Clue: He was the onetime wrestling partner of Pistol Pez Whatley.

Happy Birthday United States of Damascus.

If oil was $9 a barrel in 1999 and gas was around $1 a gallon in 1999

Then todays $144 a barrel oil should mean $16 a gallon gas.

$4 gas is a great deal.

And why do people act like hybrids that get 40 mpg today are so great when RTR had a 50 mpg vehicle in the late 80's and the GEO could seat 5 and also got 50 mpg?

If people were smart, then the next car they buy would have a plug on it.

1999 gas was more like $1.25 a gallon.

Using your formula, that would put todays price at $20.00 a gallon.

Making $4.00 an even better deal.

Current Hybrids have never impressed me either.

I agree with you on the electric plug-in vehicles.
It is my understanding that some of them will be plug-in hybrids, which is the best of both worlds.

You should spell Damascus with a U in place of the first A. That might get you point across clearer.

Spelling errors need no criticism. If people actually thought about what they were writing, there would be no need for Wapella.com.

He spelled it right.

I meant for him to intentionally spell it wrong, like I did with your.

"Hustler" Rip Rogers. Never heard of the guy, only reason I knew this was because I googled it. Ah, Google.. Wish that search engine was around back in the high school days, some classes may have been easier.

This country was founded by slave owners who wanted to be free.
